Getting Started

From sign-up to your first scan result in about 90 seconds. Here is exactly what happens.

Step 01

Go to the Sightlabs homepage and click Get started. Enter your email and create a password. You will land directly in the dashboard. No email verification gate, no onboarding questionnaire.

Your account starts on a 14-day free trial with full Pro features. No credit card is required to begin.

Step 02

Choose a scan type

The scan widget has three modes. Pick the one that matches what you want to track:

Brande.g. Notion, Figma, Linear

Tracks mentions of a company or product name. Best for marketing and PR teams monitoring their own brand or a competitor.

Influencere.g. @levelsio, Paul Graham

Tracks mentions of a person or creator handle. Useful for creator relations, executive visibility, and personal brand monitoring.

Keyworde.g. AI marketing, no-code tools

Tracks a topic or phrase. Useful for market research, trend detection, and finding conversations where your brand could participate.

Step 03

Select sources and run

Type your query, check the platforms you want to include, and click Run Scan. Sightlabs queries each selected source in parallel. Most scans complete in under 5 seconds.

While the scan runs you will see a progress indicator. When it finishes, results appear inline, no page reload.

Tip
Start with Reddit and Twitter/X selected. They return the highest volume of organic, unfiltered mentions for most brands. Add LinkedIn and ChatGPT once you have a baseline.

Step 04

Read your first result

Every scan result has four sections:

  • Sentiment breakdown · Percentage of mentions that are positive, neutral, or negative.
  • Sources · How many mentions came from each platform.
  • Top mentions · The three most relevant individual posts, each with a sentiment tag.
  • AI report · Themes, action items, and PR risk flags generated from the full mention set.
Note
The AI report is generated fresh on every scan. It is not cached from a previous run, even if the mention count looks similar.
